An amazing blend of flavors and knowledge

Food Vision offers a rich spectrum of activities to its guests across three program segments: a competition for young and upcoming chefs, a series of exclusive events showcasing restaurants and hotels preparing their three-course menus, and professional masterclass sessions.

Food Vision by Open Balkan is a meeting point for food experts, eminent chefs, international food critics, and representatives of leading restaurants and hotels, as well as food and hospitality equipment suppliers and manufacturers.

The Food Vision floor pairs competition cooking with live demonstrations from invited guests. The 2025 demonstration roster ranged from Bocuse d'Or 2023 special-award winner Jimmy Eriksson to the Taste of Xiamen team – Zhiling Chen, Xinjun Chen and Yaqiang Li – alongside Serbian pastry leads Srđan Đilas and Dejan Veljin.

The international jury for 2025 was drawn from Sweden, Brazil, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the United Kingdom – eight judges in total – and stood alongside eight leading Serbian chefs to evaluate the competition flights and the broader Food Vision program.

How it works

About Culinary Challenge

The competition runs inside Food Vision in Hall 4B: live demos pair with timed cooking flights, judged by an international jury that worked alongside leading Serbian chefs in 2025.

  • Live demonstrations

The Food Vision floor pairs competition cooking with live demonstrations from invited guests — open to trade and public audiences across the fair days.

  • Food Vision in Hall 4B

Food Vision occupies the dedicated culinary segment in Hall 4B. The 2025 edition brought 35 Food Vision exhibitors together on the same floor as the competition.

  • Partnered with JCC Serbia

The Culinary Challenge is delivered in partnership with Junior Chefs Club Serbia, alongside an international jury and leading Serbian chefs — eight international judges from Sweden, Brazil, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the UK joined eight Serbian chefs on the 2025 panel.
